According to the National Statistics Institute, or INE, exports of goods rose by 5.3% in the fourth quarter, and service exports increased by 1.1%, benefiting from strong demand in other European Union countries, Spain's main export markets .

The golf, culinary and cultural weeks of Spain have started with the Community of Madrid.

The members’ lounge held an exhibition about the most significant places of Madrid and worthy to be paid a visit. The comming weeks will also have cultural information about the other regions of Spain.

BASQUE GOLF COMPETITION AT LOS ARQUEROS GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB

This summer Los Arqueros Golf has organized thematic weeks based on golf, culinary and culture from different regions of Spain, among those was the Basque community. During that week, visitors had the chance to try typical “pintxos” from Euskadi, get to know the cultural places of interest, the excellent and numerous wineries from Rioja Alavesa and the importance of golf in that community, with Javier Arana, as the best Spanish golf designer, the golf player Jose Mª Olazábal, and golf courses such as San Sebastián and Neguri among others.

Club Championship 2010

Los Arqueros welcomed its members to this year's Club Championship with the golf course in excellent condition due to all the improvement work having being done on the course throughout the year, including the overseeding of fairways and the bigger tees.

David Bowem and Sarah Schofield of Blevins Franks Financial Management Limited, Estepona Office sponsored this event with prizes, drinks, a meal plus a prize draw.

TRIBUTE TO TINA TURNER AT LOS ARQUEROS GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB

Los Arqueros Golf paid tribute to the American artist Tina Turner. It was a night where more than 150 people enjoyed the live music by Triple Ice who played Tina’s hits and other international numbers.

Guests were welcomed with champagne. The dinner was served by the Los Arqueros Restaurant and it consisted on a buffet and a barbecue. They spared no effort or expense on the evening’s presentation resulting in a guests’ standing ovation.
